What is a CSA?

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is part of a growing social movement that encourages urban & rural citizens to share responsibility for the land where their food is grown as well as how their food is produced. In simplest terms,

CSA is a partnership between agricultural producers and consumers.

Members or “shareholders” pay a fee at the beginning of the growing season to meet a farm’s operating expenses for the upcoming season. In return, members receive a portion of the farm’s produce each week throughout the growing season.

WE are delighted to share this:

from: "a dietitian and get things sometimes that I think may be useful for others.  When I saw the post I'm attaching I immediately thought of VanScoy's because they've had such good cucumbers and I know that they post recipes on their website. "

Our Ohio came to visit with us on the farm. Do you know how much film time it takes to create a TV program? They spent over 8 hours filming the boys picking tomatoes, cucumbers, and strawberries and Bill telling the world about Hydroponics. Check out our videos at the bottom of the page.
